Description
"Bingo Gasuri" is one of the three major Japanese "Kasuri" that has been handed down for 160 years since the Edo period. This time, YUGE FABRIC FARM picked up Bingo Kasuri fabric from Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, which is said to be the oldest fabric factory that started dyeing threads in the 1890s, with the aesthetic eye of UNION ORIGINAL to create a tailored jacket.
The wide silhouette that UNION's design team is good at, the detailed work such as the label shape and elbow patches with different specifications on the left and right, and the design that randomly arranges different patterns of fabric for each part, even though it is the same Bingo Kasuri, is a special make-up that modernizes vintage old cloth.
YUGE FABRIC x UNION COLLECTION
In conjunction with the trunk show, a capsule collection was released consisting of tailored jackets, short-sleeved shirts, and parachute pants, which were modernized by tailoring them to UNION ORIGINAL designs using several old fabrics, such as the indigo-dyed "Bingo Kasuri" Japanese fabric produced in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima, and deadstock fabric for custom-made suits from the 1980s rescued from a fabric manufacturer in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture. The special finish is woven with history and beauty, using indigo-based fabrics, which are said to be the traditional Japanese blue.
