There was once a white hoodie. Dyed black (observe the language). I observed that in both the stages of pure white and then in its dyed state (black), all hoodies were homogeneous. No real characteristic of their own to note. Something happens when we journey back to being restored to our original state. As this hoodie that was once black will show, character begins to develop, of its own, separate and different from the rest. Distinguishable, nuanced, complex and beautiful. It appears to be true that it is with the assistance, friction and contrast to a formal self (old self), that the new being individuates.
