NEW PRODUCTS / EXCLUSIVE OFFERS / SALES
Excited to launch the next 30 year collab with a brand that is way more than just a brand to us. Noah is more like family to us, not just like family, they are family. Brendon and I have been good friends since 1996 and Estelle and Beth have been friends since around that time too. Fast forward we have grown into one big happy family so it was really important for Noah to be a part of this celebration. We are calling this collection: “Truth Dare Dream.” DARING to ask “Was Beethoven Black?” DREAMING of a world where Shakespeare could share her prolific works as her true self without fear of ridicule and backlash due to the prevailing misogyny. And highlighting the TRUTH of Dumas, who was a French, but whom’s father was Haitian and mixed. Through these designs we wanted to have poke fun but we also wanted to be able to do so while also reminding people of the marginalized histories of countless people we will never know because they were born a woman, or black or gay at the wrong place or the wrong time. As a part of the programing for this collection, we teamed up with and we are donating proceeds of sales to them.
As a part of the programing for this collection, we teamed up with Watts Conservatory of Music and we are donating proceeds of sales to them. This organization is going above and beyond to make sure to offer better access to the arts within communities and families that otherwise wouldn’t be so fortunate to have programs like this.
Representing the "Truth" segment of the collection, we present Alexandre Dumas. We decided that to round off the designs we needed to highlight a less controversial person of color who despite all odds was able to be successful despite the bigotry that surrounded them. Fitting that bill, the great author of such works as The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Christo. Dumas who is French but whom’s father was Haitian and mixed.
