POST WWII, EMBROIDERED MEXICAN SOUVENIR JACKETS BECAME SO POPULAR IN THE UNITED STATES THAT DEPARTMENT STORES STARTED CARRYING THEM AND MANUFACTURING THEM, AND HOME-SEWING COMPANIES LIKE MCCALL BEGAN SELLING PAPER PATTERNS AND INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE YOUR OWN. THIS HISTORICAL REPRODUCTION FEATURES CREAM EMBROIDERY AND APPLIQUÉ THROUGHOUT. NO TWO PIECES ARE EXACTLY ALIKE.
