And the hits just keep on comin'. We now proudly present to ya'll our latest collection of garments, a collaboration with Dickies, which we've entitled, "Get Off My Dickies."
Dickies is one of my personal favorite brands and has been since as long as I have been dressing myself. Since middle school my personal uniform has always started with a pair of Dickies pants. And that largely still remains the same, although back in middle school I would pair the pants with a t-shirt and some Chucks…these days it’s more like Marni and Raf. The collaboration came about rather organically, I met one of the dudes at Dickies and just started to volunteer some ideas cause I was so hyped on the brand. He then invited me to do a collection and the rest is history…
I have always loved the Cotton/Nylon blended Dickies signature fabric and I didn’t want to mess with that so for the most part we just tried to do some color ways that Dickies wouldn’t otherwise do: Pink and Off White namely and even the blue is a bit off from what they would typically do. We also customized their silhouettes and made them a but more contemporary and slightly more fashion forward. This inspiration for the whole collection theme was kid of referencing the 90’s self affirmation vibe of fashion. Super confident and bold!
Consisting of both men's and women's wear, the full collection will release this Saturday, June 2 at 9am PST online, and at our Los Angeles and Tokyo stores.
