The late and great war photojournalist Tim Hetherington continues to give the world a look into the conflicts of war through his photographs, films and writings. Through September 7, Hetherington has an exhibition on view at one of our favorite museums, Foam (Amsterdam). This exhibit will bring together works from three of his series, Sleeping Soldiers, Infidel and Diary. Hetherington's work allows us to see the effects of war from all different sides whether it is through the eyes of a soldier or the peripheral experiences of civilians. If you're unfamiliar with Hetherington's work, get to know it because it will help you realize the importance and power of real journalism. If you're in Amsterdam, get over to Foam to support a talented photojournalist's work and life. And if you aren't anywhere close to The Netherlands, start by watching this multi-screen video installation. Tim Hetherington - Sleeping Soldiers (2009) from Paradox on Vimeo.
