The Shit I Do To Make Y’all Look Fly: Summer16 tour Day 2 in Japan (Vic Edition)

Uncategorized

A couple hours of sleep, slight hangover, and jetlag that will fully hit by mid day means that I better get the most in now.

First stop.. Wacko Maria. Definitely a brand that has become one of our favorites at UNION so I definitely had to stop by and check out their store.

The Wacko Maria & Neckface collection just dropped the day before so the whole shop was adorned with Neckface artwork and merchandise. SUPER sick rayon shirts, nice Japanese fleece, and some really sick embroidered jackets. You know your boy had to walk about with something...

Im all about good food so you know I had a few must try spots when I got into town.

One that I have really been looking forward to is Harajuku Gyoza. They have a few different options but the classic jump off is the fried gyoza that comes in a steamed version as well which is a mix of pork and vegetables. All I have to say is.. BOMB! You need to get the sides also.. perfect little dishes that complement the gyoza. Cheap good eats..

Just around the corner is a new exhibit by Hiroshi Fujiwara titled Flower Huddle. It was previously in Osaka December of last year but is now making its return in 2016 at The Mass which is located in Shibuya. It runs till September 25th so definitely check it out if you can.

Coming from LA... I am always driving from one location to the next. The dope thing about Tokyo is when you walk around you'll stumble onto stores that you're familiar with or discover some really dope new ones.

Had to stop by and check out the F.I.L. store in Tokyo..

Had the pleasure of going to the opening of the Jose Parla "Small Golden Suns" art show at Yuka Tsuruno Gallery in Koto (now till December 3rd) which is located on the top floor of a working industrial building. There are a few other separate art shows happening on the same floor but in its own separate spaces. Kinda off the grid but well worth the trip..
