Recorded in New York, Teruo Nakamura's Unicorn album is one of the gems of Japanese jazz. Issued on the Japanese Three Blind Mice label in 1973, it came and went without much regard from the American jazz community. Like many jazz musicians from Japan, Nakamura has been somewhat overlooked as being more of an imitator than that of a true contributor, its all relative we feel; because a dope record is a dope record.
