Canada has a special place in our hearts here at Union, so when a fellow like Duke Ellington refers to man as the "Maharaja" of the keyboard we think thats dope, and we hope you will too. One of the crown jewels of jazz is also one of the crown jewels of Canada; born to West Indian immigrant parents, the man they called "OP" , Oscar Peterson is one of the true giants. We've played him in the past in collaboration with the remarkable Stan Getz. This go round, we present Oscar Peterson and his beautiful 1963 album Night Train. Enjoy the elegance of his cosmic sound, and the brilliance of Canada on this Sunday morning wherever you may be...
