Sunday Morning Jazz: My Favorite Things

Music
john_coltrane_order_is_everything

The first album to feature Trane playing the soprano sax; My Favorite Things was recorded in a matter of only three days. On this masterpiece of music Trane is joined by giants McCoy Tyner (piano), Elvin Jones (drums) and Steve Davis (bass). One of the more easily accessible jazz albums of its day, My Favorite Things helped usher in a new jazz listener and cemented itself as one of the truly classic records of the 20th century. Its influenced effected groups in other genres such as The Doors, Love, and The Beatles (its all about structure, attitude, and chord progression friends). Here it is in its full glory. Enjoy things however and wherever you are, on this Sunday morning in December...
