5-4-3-2-1... Get ready for part two of Tom Sach's SPACE PROGRAM:MARS! Opening May 16 at the Park Avenue Armory in New York, Sachs continues his mission to Mars, something he began back in 2007 at the Gagosian Gallery in Los Angeles. SPACE PROGRAM:MARS will exhibit the day-to-day activities that are required to fulfill a mission into outer space inside the Wade Thompson Drill Hall. Visitors will be able to experience from the sidelines Sachs and his team performing tasks in human waste disposal, food delivery and a variety of other tasks that occur on space missions. In support, Nike has created Space Camp, "an athletic, dietary and psychological conditioning program designed to prepare
crew for the rigors of the Mars mission." On May 18, Nike will launch 5 items that all space campers wear while under the demands of space training behind Union's doors.
