Hold Still

Art
June 26, 2013 - August 5th, 2013 The Inner City Avant Garde is pleased to announce an exhibition and dinner for Brooklyn based artist Aaron King. He will present work created over a six-week residency at ICAG, located at 3508 W. Washington Blvd. Using materials such as cement, and vinyl, as well as the aid of local businesses, Aaron has created a body of work that echoes the community in which it was made. “Hold Still”, in short, is a conglomeration of ideas all stemming from an interest in poeticizing the innate stillness of the everyday object. The Inner City Avant Garde Residency Program is committed to providing space and resources to artists of merit. The ICAG encourages the artist in residence to collaborate with at least one local business on a piece that can be integrated into the artist's practice. Aaron King has had one-person exhibitions at Guild & Greyshkul, New York, Portugal Arte, Lisbon, and Andreas Melas Projects, Athens. He is currently preparing for a show at Galery Niklas Belenius, Stockholm. Please join us on June 26th for a casual dinner outside at 8 that will conclude the evening. www.innercityavantgarde.com Hold Still3
