Our hearts are bouncing all over the place right now for Aung San Suu Kyi who has finally been able to receive the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to her back in 1991. Since 1989, Suu Kyi has been placed in and out of house arrest for her affiliation and help in creating the National League for Democracy, by the military regime of Burma who took control of the country in 1988. Her relentless non-violent fights and commitment towards democracy and human rights has turned her into an international symbol for civil resistance. For those of us who are fortunate enough to live in democratic countries, let us not become complacent and take that luxury for granted. Exercise your right to fight for what you believe in... and don't forget to vote this election year! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRYyEk-5zoI
