EUROPE 2011 DIARRHEA: THE THINGS I ENDURE SO U GET TO LOOK FLY (ITALY).

Uncategorized

I WAS SUPPOSED TO BLOG THIS LAST WEEK BUT MY COMPUTER CRASHED. HERE IS MY BELATED BLOG POST FROM THE EUROPEAN BUYING TRIP.

So it’s the crazy time of year when all the designers are showing the next seasons new shit. There are shows all over the world and sometimes they overlap. That usually means we here at the store have a hectic couple of weeks where we rack up the frequent flyer miles.

My job is Europe this year; Italy, Germany and France all in two weeks. Let’s just say the wife ain’t really happy.

AGAIN, THE SHIT I DO MAKE YOU GUYS LOOK FLY…

First stop. ITALY (FIrenze, Modena & Milan).

Trip started out a little rocky. On my way up to my hotel room I got stuck in an elevator for over an hour. In USA they would

have comped me everything. In Italy, I barely got an apology.

Fisrt stop Florence. One of my favorite cities in the world. Great food and the city has beautiful old buildings and architecture.

It all looks like it was a couple hundred years ago.

..again, I was working so hard for you guys…this was a close as I got to seeing the Hirst show!

Did I mention the food? My hosts told me not to blog the name of this place. It’s an OG family run steak house. Steak Florentia.

When you first walk in you pick the cow you want to eat. Damn!

MODENA

Half way between Florence and Milan my good friend Georgio took myself and Terry Jones from I-D mag out to lunch.

Osteria Francescana, rated the best restaurant in Italy…the things I have to do to make ya’ll look fly.

Next stop, off to Milan to preview my favorite new line TEN C.

Stayed at the 10 Corso Como Hotel, very nice. They had an exhibit there from this photographer Robert Polidori (fellow Canadian)

who was able to take some Candid photo’s of the Palace of Versailles.

Terry Jones and Carla Sozzani catching up. Very dope people, really kind and warm too…

NEXT STOP AND NEXT BLOG POST. BERLIN.
